Do you want to join the exciting healthcare industry as an EKG tech, this course will train you to apply, monitor, and measure electrocardiography tests. Electrocardiography (EKG) technicians are essential members of the healthcare profession. Upon successful completion of this program you will have the option to sit the National Healthcareer Association’s (NHA) Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam to become a certified EKG Technician. According to available data certified EKG Technicians earn on average well over fifty thousand dollars a year.


What does an EKG Technician do?

Electrocardiography (EKG) technicians are important to any healthcare team. They apply, monitor, and measure electrocardiography and administer various cardiovascular tests including measuring basic vital signs, performing rapid response procedures, operating an EKG machine, and identifying and analyze heart rhythms.


What skills are important for EKG technicians?

EKG technicians need to be able to read, monitor, and report EKG tests precisely and accurately, communicate with doctors, nurses, and other professionals to provide essential healthcare, use electrocardiography equipment, interpret and calculate data, relate to patients and understand the difficulties and stress they may encounter.
